St. Louis County Parks opens the Chubb Trail for night rides the 3rd Wednesday of each month. The trail is open but guides are NOT available so call a friend or form a group. If you want to join a group that regularly goes but starts at an earlier time, pm me (msmodo), I'll set you up.

STLCOP&R will open the Lone Elk trailhead gates but the West Tyson parking lots will be closed. (You can also park at the Allen road lot* at the RR tracks off of Lewis Rd.) Recommended for Advanced and Expert Riders. Use your own discretion regarding weather and trail conditions. They do not post trail closings.

Here is the St. Louis County Parks description:  BIKE RIDE AT LONE ELK PARK (All Ages)

Ride the Chubb Trail after dark! Start your ride from the Lone Elk Park Chubb Trailhead and ride at your own pace. This steep and narrow trail along the Meramec River Valley is suggested for advanced to expert riders only. High intensity bicycle lights of at least 200 lumens are recommended. Helmets required for ages 16 and under.
