Greensfelder - Trail Building Day #2

Date: Saturday, October 25th, 2014

Location: Greensfelder County Park

What: We will CONTINUE building out the SECOND phase of a multi-phase project to renovate the Beulah trail in Greensfelder Park.  The second phase will traverse the north side of a ridge heading towards the Beulah shelter.

As usual, we have a good size group of non-experienced volunteers scheduled to be there, so the more experienced trail builders we have on hand the better.

Where: Greensfelder Park, Allenton Rd. behind Six Flags (Park at the Beulah Shelter on the Scenic Loop Road)

What to bring: Gloves, Sturdy shoes, eye protection, and something to drink on the trail.

Lunch will be provided by St. Louis County. Please post below if you intend on coming for the lunch count. If you post here there is no need to contact St. Louis County. If you would like a vegetarian sandwich, please let us know.

There may be a group ride afterwards - weather permitting, so bring your bike if you like.

Thanks!

Shout out to everyone...it's going to be a beautiful day for trailbuilding and riding afterwards. As it stand now, there are a few people from SLU coming, but not the usual group of kids. So, we're on our own to make this day a success. Here's the chance to show what experienced trailbuilders can do without having to manage/corral the kids. This is the final day at GF to add some mileage before the winter sets in. It's going to be mostly dirt, so it should go fast. See you Saturday.

I'll be there. Just one, though, the littler John will be off building a robot, and Susan will be with him.

Thanks to everyone that came out and made this one a success. We had a great crew of trailbuilders that did some impressive bench work. We built approximately 0.2 miles of trail that is really stunning. You all deserve a party, see you Saturday. Bryan
