Thank you to all the hard-working volunteers that helped build some more Zombie Rock trail! We had a dedicated crew work some great lines in near the rock overhang and we had a handful of volunteers leading 40+ high school / college newbies building trail from the pavement back toward the overhang.

So..... this means that we could use your help at the next trail build on Rock Hollow this fall season to get the trail completely connected from the pavement to the rock overhang.  STL County has been granted an Americorp team that will hopefully build the proposed reroute pending Wildwood's approval. This would fix the private land encroachment and completely connect the western half of Rock Hollow (low pavement entrance to high pavement exit if you start near the river).

Cross  your fingers. Better yet, sign up for the next trail build!

What's the tentative plan for the reroute? Simply move across the creek earlier and stay on the north side?

Yes, that would be one solution.  There are a few possible solutions.  Ultimately, we want to use as much of the built trail as possible while not encroaching on the neighbors.  The alternatives have been given to Wildwood for their review.  I'm not sure we'll get an answer before the 24th though.

Thanks to everyone that came out on Saturday.  It's great to see big crowds of volunteers not afraid of the zombie's!
