Save the date of Saturday, September 24! The Hub Bicycle company and New Belgium have teamed up to create the Spoker Ride - a poker run benefiting GORC.  You can pre-register for this event at the Hub with day-of registration at Hwy 61 Roadhouse.

Spoker Ride presented by The Hub Bicycle Shop, New Belgium Brewery, and Hwy 61 Roadhouse is a bicycle ride to benefit the Gateway Offroad Cyclists.  

Participating poker run stops include:

• Hwy 61
• Tower Pub
• Colombo's
• Foley's
• Felix's
• The Hub. 

The entry fee is only $10 and the Best Hand wins a new Cornhole game. The Hub is offering a Grand Prize raffle of a new commuter bike!

 

We are also looking for several volunteers to help man the poker stops with free beer for the volunteers.

This is going to be a fun event for a great cause! All ticket proceeds go directly to GORC.

Wristband and map pick up will be at The Hub the week of September 18th. 

Day of event registration and/or wristband/map pick up will be at Hwy 61 Roadhouse from 11am-1pm. They are located at 34 S. Old Orchard, 63119.

 

Please contact me at jfarinella@gmail.com to volunteer. There are only a couple of jobs to do and only for a couple of hours. 

 

The entire route is about 18miles if you go to all stops. There will be wildcards for sale at Hwy61 Roadhouse.

The weather is looking great for Saturday. Come on out and support GORC with the Spoker Ride.  Where else can you go to financially assist your favorite trail organization, ride your bike to each destination, and have a drink at those destinations? This riding/poker run event has your name written all over it!

 

Come out this Saturday to the start at Hwy 61 Roadhouse in Webster Groves. Either pre-reigster at the link above or sign up Saturday between 11-1pm .

 

BUT, if you want a chance in the raffle for some restaurant gift certificates you need to REGISTER ONLINE

 

 

Plus, we could use a few GORC people to help out at each poker stop on the route.
