Currently the trail is in perfect condition.  Much of the trial runs along the shore of the lake and in a couple sections the trail was being washed away and was very narrow and right on the edge of the bank.  Thanks to Mark Rosen and a few friends, they've created re-routes around those sections.

My daughter and I spent a few hours at the trail today cutting up several downed trees due to the recent storms.  We also trimmed back a ton of thorn bushes and low hanging branches.  We made it 1.5 miles out, and plan to do more as time permits.  There are still two trees down that I could not get with my hand saw.  One right at the entrance to the trail, and another about a half mile out.  Both can be crossed and I've notified Mark with the parks dept about them.

I would advise that if you are going to ride out there right now, you need to be set up tubeless, or at the very least have a spare tube with you.
