Date: March 25, 2017 - 9am - 1pm

Location: Greensfelder County Park

What: We've made a ton of progress over the last year and a half rerouting the highly eroded and unsustainable Beulah trail. Come join us as we begin Phase V, the last phase of this multi-year reroute project. GORC will be building trail from where we left off at the Scenic Overlook and head back up to the Beulah trailhead parking lot and completing the loop for a total of 5 miles!

This last phase is 0.9 miles in length and is sure to be the most exciting build yet! We will be following a rocky ledge that lends itself to technical and challenging riding, hiking and horsing with a 0.6 mile sustained (but sustainable!) climb back to the Beulah trailhead parking lot. There will be a alternate line option to ride between Split Rock - make sure your bars are narrow enough to fit!

We expect this last phase to take 3-4 builds to fully complete the loop!

If approved, we are hoping to design a connector trail from Beulah down to Eagle Valley that intersects at the beginning of North Green Rock and Eagle Valley trail. This could be a 0.25 to 0.75 mile addition that keeps your tires and feet on singletrack instead of pavement or gravel!! Think 2018 and beyond.

Where: Greensfelder Park, Allenton Rd. behind Six Flags. NOTE: Park at the Beulah Shelter located about a half mile down Scenic Loop Road - the road inside the park. Lunch will be provided at Beulah Shelter.

What to bring: Gloves, Sturdy shoes, eye protection, and something to drink on the trail.

Lunch will be provided by St. Louis County. If you would like a vegetarian sandwich, please let us know on our forum under the "Trail Building and Maintenance Announcments" - We usually have a topic for the trail build listed.

Just wanted to put the word out that HWY 109 will be closed from 8a-5pm this Saturday 3-25. You will not be able to access Melrose from 109 to get to Greensfelder.

109 will be closed just North of Old State and South of New College in Wildwood(1/4 mile south of Old Manchester)

Thank you to the 45 GORC volunteers that worked in  between the rain storms and got a 0.25 miles of rocky, technical trail built. See you in two weeks.

There was a couple there today that got there and hour or so into the Build. Sorry I wasn't able to get your names on the sign up. They were at one of the recent Monthly meetings.

Please send me a pm thru the forum with your names so we can track the hours.
