I drove by the future site for this new park on the way to Broemmelsiek. The sign advertising the features says nature trial. Any chance we could get in on this on the ground floor and get an MTB trail in there?

I remember Mike Dunston having conversations with the City 8+ years ago, but don't remember how they went.  Seem to recall they were kinda getting a feel for what could be done on such a small piece of land.  (As a reference, O Day is listed as being 55 acres, and not all of it would be usable for natural surface trails.  The original Matson was 68 acres, and had 2.8 miles of trail squeezed into it.)

A short spin thru the links found when Googling  O Day park in Ofallon shows that the park design has been solidified for several years.  This is one of several areas where GORC peeps have invested some legwork in a new trail system, only for it not to turn out as anticipated.  The area across from the Family Arena is another.

It happens.
