Yes, this is upon us, and volunteers are still helpful.
In general, we will be on site by 8:30 w/the wooden skills. While some help placing them is appreciated, we would prefer to have more volunteers available to help with the Registration process, act as "cheerleaders" for the future mtn bikers as they navigate the various obstacles, and/or lead the group rides.
Absolutely ZERO previous experience is required or expected ... just a willingness to spread the word about mtn biking to a young, impressionable audience, and the parents that brought them out to this event. Not sure what to do or say?
Lotsa GORC Dorks who have been there/done that will be on hand to lend a guiding hand, in the unlikely event that it is needed.
Still not sure how to act? Be as nice and welcoming as you wish others would be ...
On site registration is permitted, but the freebies may be gone (we will probably have a bell, though). The intent is to allow younger riders to see what happens when you ride a mtn bike on a mtn bike trail. As opposed to riding in the yard/local parking lot/local grass field.
