After Party Thank You Volunteers!

Thank you to all the hard-working volunteers!

We would like to take a moment to thank everyone that could make it out to the party. The weather was phenomenal for once - who would think it would end up being almost 70-something degrees in November! This was one of our larger Appreciation Party turnouts and we'd like to thank everyone.

The scavenger hunt was fun and extremely beautiful with the forest in full fall color mode. We're pretty sure it was the peak weekend for nature's color show. The 5 scavenger stops weren't too difficult except for one that had a group wondering where it was located. But by the time everyone was back we got down to business - the big raffle.

We received a number of raffle swag items form several businesses and we'd like to take a moment to thank them:

Schlafly - For their craft beer selection and several beer-related merchandise
A-B Imbev - For their coolers and coolers of beer
Alpine Shop - 18 pairs of premium socks and 2 $25 gift cards
Ballwin Cycles - A variety of awesome bike items
Big Shark - A nice selection of bike accessories and tubeless sealant.

Finally, we acknowledged our hard-working volunteers and busted into the gigantic sheet cake - another year in the books!

And last, but not least, we had our year-to-date stats on the pavilion beams but here's some quick stats if you missed out:

As of 11/04/17
--5,150 volunteer hours of which 70-something percent was devoted to Rock Hollow
--270 individual volunteers
--104 of the 270 donated 10 or more hours of their time representing 83% of all trail-based volunteer time
--Our top 20 volunteers donated 49 hours of time or more to trail building, maintenance or design representing 37% of all total trail-based volunteer output
--Our top 3 volunteers this year are Glenn Meyer (485 hours!), Mitch Johnson (434) and Greg Ott (189) - the vast majority of their time has been spent on Rock Hollow
--On the admin site of keeping the club going (emails, planning, paperwork, online, membership, everything else not trail-based) countless hours have been spent and are almost always under-reported. It shows over 100 hours but that's definitely missing a lot of unreported time.
