This is a group ride led by employees of Bike Surgeon occuring on Wednesdays at 6pm. This is a no drop ride that begins and ends at the RC field at SIUE. Bike Surgeon brings a fleet of demo bikes on the first Wednesday of the month.

 

They typically do about 12-14 miles including the short paved stuff on the way to the trailhead. The trails are beginner to intermediate with no major obstacles. Think tight and twisty dirt!

 

Be sure to ask here if you are unsure if the ride is happening due to weather conditions.

 

Bike Surgeon's Facebook page may be the most up-to-date info on if a ride is cancelled.

Hi. I am new to the site and plan to come to tonight's ride.  I have 2 questions. 1 - Am I reading it right that there will be demo bikes so I do not need to bring my bike? and 2 - Are helmets required because I have yet to purchase one.

I would contact Bike Surgeon directly. The post says that they bring demo bikes, so I would assume so.

My answer to your 2nd question is, yes. You need a helmet.
