I took a photo but don't know how to post it. Tree down across the Katy south of 70, you can ride under it on one side if you duck, but it might trip up a casual rider.

Gorc doesn’t cut Katy trees but thank you for the update. I think the state parks deals with downed Katy trees.

I didn't know who to contact but I figured this would be a way to get the word out.

Technically, I believe that the Katy Trail falls under DNR, ... my bad, let's try this again.

https://mostateparks...ral-information

If you scroll down  ~ a quarter page, you will bump into

Machens to just east of Matson Trailhead (MP 26.9 to MP 60.6)
Edward "Ted" and Pat Jones-Confluence Point State Park, West Alton, 636-899-1135

As Matt mentioned above this response, GORC doesn't have a maintenance/tree removal agreement with Missouri's DNR/State Parks.  Our only agreement for that type of thing (that I am aware of) is with Castlewood State Park.  Like our cutting in St. Louis County Parks/St. Charles County Parks*, we are required to have USFS Cutting Cards, wear the safety gear combo of gloves/chaps/helmet(w/facesheild)/ear protection, etc.

*The Lost Valley trail system falls under Missouri Department of Conservation supervision.  At their request, we do our best to report downed & hazard trees to them via their office, #; (636) 441-4554.  , or the Lost Valley section of the forum [https://forum.gorctr...-county-region/].

Since this only happens occasionally, please let us know if the info I have listed upstream is helpful.  If not, I will edit ....

Thanks!
