Large (waist high on the ground) tree down on the Green Rock trail.  Location is halfway between the Eagle Vally / Green Rock intersection (where the newest section of trail ends) and where the Green Rock enters into Rockwood Reservations (the death spiral section)  Happy to meet a sawyer out there to assist.  It is big and wedged, will take some work to remove

I'm game for that. I'm done with work on Friday at noon and could meet you after 1 or just about any time Saturday or Sunday afternoon. Could Glen, Matt, Dave, or Bryan notify Stranger and/or whoever in park's department needs to know, please? Thanks, Brian.

Thanks for tackling that, Brian.

I'm all for watching how other sawyers deal with wedged/hanging/etc scenarios that could possibly turn out bad, so please keep the rest of us in mind if you see a possible learning or teaching moment.  Unfortunately, it looks like I'm gonna be replacing my car's radiator on my days off - as opposed to GORC related things - so will have to skip out on this particular cleanup.

I'll ping Glenn w/your request for contacting the correct St. Louis Cnty Parks/Ranger peeps, so you have that info for future cutting expeditions.

And Honch ...

Many thanks for the detailed description of where to go, what to expect, and your offer to help.

Every little bit information helps us, and sometimes makes the difference between being able to "just cut some downed limbs", to "was able to clear the trail, AND RIDE MY BIKE!"

Much appreciated!!!!

You're welcome, was great having a brand new chain and tuned up saw. There's nothing like a steady stream of fresh, fat chips flying out the back of a chainsaw.
