Want to see what's involved with scouting and flagging brand new trail?

We will be meeting at the new parking lot w/the restrooms, at the top of the hill/entrance to Cliff Cave Park, at 9:00 on Saturday the 5th.

While we know the general area that we wish to start and stop at, you will get to take part in the process that determines WHERE the trail ends up going.  That includes joining discussions with the Land Manager and Trail Stewards about the pros and cons of certain routes, clinometer usage, how (and why) we mark potential trail with flagging tape, etc.

Hopefully, this will help remove some of the mystery behind how trails go from idea to something that can be walked or ridden on.

Questions?  Please fire away ...

(You are on your own for food, so don't forget to bring a snack/water along.)

Thanks for the schooling today Kevin, Craig, John and Glenn.  Had fun scoping out the terrain and getting a feel for the process.

Glad you could make it.

It's good to have more eyes to give input.

You saw an opportunity to open up the flow on one turn that will make for a better ride!

Thanks
